Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is seeking an Area Security Officer in Leicester. You will patrol, monitor CCTV and assist customers while maintaining a secure site. The role requires a valid SIA licence, a clean history, and a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Shifts include days, nights and weekends on a 12‑hour pattern. You must be reliable, with good communication, a smart appearance, and the ability to drive and travel as needed. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise safety, security and service for the site, staff, car parks, customers and assets.

• Induct visitors, monitor CCTV, conduct regular patrols and perform ad hoc duties.

Contract Information

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 12 hour shifts

Shifts – Days, Nights, Weekends – full flexibility required to cover shifts Monday to Sunday

SIA license – Door Supervisor or Security Guard – Must be able to drive and have your own transportation

Your Time at Work

As an Area Security Officer you will be responsible for:

• Prioritising the safety, security, and service of the site, its staff, car parks, customers, our client, and property.
• Being polite, caring, and understanding when supporting employees, guests, and members of the public.
• Managing situations that may involve conflict, in line with training and policy guidelines.
• Maintaining attention to detail and being alert to any changes that may indicate an increased security risk or unusual situation.
• Inducting visitors, monitoring CCTV, conducting regular patrols, and performing any other ad hoc duties as required.
