Job summary

Staffline, partnering with G4S, is seeking a Security Officer for a Cambridge site. The role involves guarding duties, access control, and visitor liaison on weekends. You will work as part of a well-known security team ensuring safety and compliance.

Applicants should hold an SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor with CCTV), possess a valid UK driving licence, and have prior security experience. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• SIA licence required: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor; CCTV experience preferred.
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle required.
• Experience in a similar role is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join the G4S team, working for a well known-site in Cambridge!

Contract Information:

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Hours: 24 hours a week, weekends only, Saturday and Sunday

SIA Licences: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor - CCTV is also required.

You must also have a Full UK Driving license and your own vehicle!

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer your duties will include:

• Greeting staff and visitors
• Controlling access in and out of the building
• Patrolling the premises and ensuring security protocols are being adhered to
• Dealing with disturbances/ issues and security incidents
• Dealing with first aid and incident reporting

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have the following:

• Be aged 18 or over
• To preferably hold a valid Door Supervisor or Security Guarding License
• Be a great communicator, verbally and in writing
• To have great customer service skills
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office platforms

Experience in a similar role required
