Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer for Portsmouth to help protect people, property and information. You will patrol sites, manage access, monitor CCTV and respond promptly to incidents.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, British nationality, a 5-year checkable work history and a driving licence. Training, overtime opportunities and career progression are on offer.

• Must be a driver with access to own vehicle.
• Must be a British national by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years.
• Must have a 5-year checkable work history.
• Must be able to obtain SC clearance.
• Must be physically fit due to significant walking involved in the role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols across the site to ensure all areas are secure and to check for unauthorized access or security breaches.
• Managing entry points by checking IDs, issuing visitor passes, and enforcing site access procedures.
• Monitoring CCTV feeds, identifying suspicious activity, and responding to incidents.
• Responding quickly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of incidents, breaches, and unusual activities.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures to create a safe environment.
• Inspecting security equipment regularly to ensure functionality.
• Providing high-quality customer service while upholding all security protocols.

Security Officer – Portsmouth

Location: Portsmouth PO3 5PQ
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: days, nights, weekends
Rate of Pay: £14.56 - £14.98

Your role:
