Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an External Sales Representative Timber Products to drive sales across the South East region with a focus on timber products and sheet materials. The role targets key contractors, sub-contractors, D&B contractors, joinery firms, builders and merchants, with internal support from a dedicated branch.

The ideal candidate has a proven timber sales background, established industry contacts, and strong relationship-building and communication skills to convey technical

Qualifications

• Must have proven track record selling timber products.
• Must have contacts within the industry and a pre-existing customer base.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to convey technically information.

Responsibilities

• Sell a range of timber products and sheet materials to tier 1, 2 & 3 contractors, sub-contractors, D&B contractors, joinery contractors, builders & shop fitters and merchants.
• Spend all work time on external field sales activities.
• Upsell and cross-sell product range where possible to maximize value.
• Aim for circa £2m turnover in the first year from the designated branch.

Area to be covered: South East

Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + £10,000 bonus

The role of the External Sales Representative Timber Products will involve:

External field sales position selling a range of timber products and sheet materials

All of your time will be spent selling to tier 1,2 & 3 contractors, sub-contractors, D&B contractors, joinery contractors, small to medium sized builders & shop fitters and merchants

After year one want you to be turning over circa £2m

Working out of a dedicated branch with great internal support

Upselling and cross selling product range where possible

The ideal applicant will be a External Sales Representative Timber Products with:
