Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Timber Products in the South East. The role focuses on external field sales of timber and sheet materials to contractors, builders and merchants with a view to achieving rapid turnover growth.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven timber products sales background, a ready-made customer base, and excellent communication abilities to manage technical information and relationships across key accounts.

Qualifications

• Proven track record selling timber products to builders and contractors.
• Must have a pre-existing customer base within the timber industry.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with tier 1, 2 and 3 contractors.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• External field sales role selling timber products and sheet materials.
• You will spend time selling to tier 1, 2 & 3 contractors, sub-contractors and merchants.
• Aim to reach circa £2m turnover after year one.
• Work from a dedicated branch with strong internal support.
• Upsell and cross-sell products where possible.

The role of the External Sales Representative -Timber Products will involve:

• External field sales position selling a range of timber products and sheet materials
• All of your time will be spent selling to tier 1,2 & 3 contractors, sub-contractors, D&B contractors, joinery contractors, small to medium sized builders & shop fitters and merchants
• After year one want you to be turning over circa £2m
• Working out of a dedicated branch with great internal support
• Upselling and cross selling product range where possible
