Job summary

Grant & Stone Plumbing & Heating Supplies in Oxfordshire is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across our Oxford region. You will manage key customer accounts, develop new business opportunities, and work with branch teams to increase sales, margin and market share.

As part of the Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG), you’ll join a leading UK independent merchant with local team spirit and national strength for growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven success in sales, account management or business development.
• Experience building long‑term customer relationships and driving growth.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach and good communication.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel for visits.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profitability across multiple branches in the Oxford region.
• Build strong relationships with plumbing and heating customers.
• Identify and win new business opportunities and conduct regular visits.
• Work with Branch Managers to hit sales targets and review pipeline.
• Promote products, services and supplier led initiatives and maintain CRM records.

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building relationships and winning new business?

Grant & Stone Plumbing & Heating Supplies is looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to drive growth across our Oxford region. You'll manage key customer accounts, develop new business opportunities, and work closely with branch teams to increase sales, margin, and market share.

As part of the Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG), you'll join one of the UK's leading independent merchant groups, combining the strength of a national business with the feel of a local team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Growing sales and profitability across multiple branches
• Building strong relationships with existing plumbing and heating customers
• Identifying and winning new business opportunities
• Conducting regular customer visits and account reviews
• Working closely with Branch Managers to achieve sales targets
• Promoting products, services and supplier‑led initiatives
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
• Managing and updating your sales pipeline and CRM records

What We’re Looking For

• Proven success in sales, account management or business development
• Experience building long‑term customer relationships
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience within the plumbing, heating or merchanting industry is highly desirable
