Job summary

SER Limited across the South of England is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth in key industrial sectors. The role is field-based with hybrid working flexibility, covering the South of England, and includes a base salary of £50,000–£55,000 plus a company car and annual bonus.

You will develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, end users and distributors, achieve sales targets, and report forecasts while benefiting from extensive product training and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Field-based sales experience in Power Transmission.
• Experience selling into OEMs, end users and distributors.
• Target-driven and highly motivated.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Understanding of power, speed and torque fundamentals.
• Engineering qualifications advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own territory across the South of England, driving sales of new and existing products. Key responsibilities include:

• Achieving individual sales targets across your territory
• Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers including OEM's, End Users and Distributors
• Representing the company professionally in the field
• Reporting sales activity and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager
• Extensive technical and sales training provided

This is a field-based role with hybrid working flexibility, spending time at customer sites and from home as needed.

About You

• Proven experience in a field-based sales role within the Power Transmission industry, ideally selling geared motors & associated equipment
• Experience selling into materials handling, food & beverage, or automotive sectors
• Highly motivated and target-driven
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Understanding of power, speed, and torque fundamentals essential
• Mechanical / Electrical engineering qualifications advantageous
• Full UK driving licence required
