Rise Executive Search & Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Area Sales Engineer/Manager for the Industrial Electrical Control & Automation sector. You will drive business development and sales in a proven track record role within a premier company.

The role covers the South Tyneside/Teeside region, including Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Darlington and surrounding areas, with a negotiable salary and attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in Industrial Automation sales with a proven sales track record.
• Qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline desirable but not essential.
• Ability to develop accounts and meet defined sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Sell Industrial Automation products including PLCs, switchgear, drives, sensors, HMI and instrumentation.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of OEMs, end users, system integrators and panel builders across the South Tyneside/Teeside area.
• Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal sales plan to grow the business.
• Coordinate with internal teams and use MS Office for reporting and planning.

Area Sales Engineer Industrial Electrical Control & Automation Excellent Negotiable Salary dependent upon experience, plus excellent benefits of Car, Pension, Buy/Sell holidays, and more.

On behalf of our Client we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join the team of this first class business.

The successful candidate will be selling a range of high quality Industrial Automation products, i.e. PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear & Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets throughout the South Tyneside/Teeside area, including, Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees, Darlington, Hartlepool, and South of the Tyne, Sunderland, which would all be suitable base locations.

As an already successful Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Technical Salesperson, you will have sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry coupled with a record of sales success and achievement. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential, you should be able to demonstrate your knowledge and sales ability otherwise. Ideally you will also have benefited from further career development training to enhance your sales skills.

As is usual you will be working to achieve defined sales targets and capable of developing a personal plan in order to achieve your objectives through managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts whilst constantly striving to identify new avenues of business. Excellent attributes such as good organisation and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player whilst enjoying a level of autonomy are essential, as are capability with Microsoft packages.
