Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead an area of 5+ stores and the GMs who run them. You will hire, coach and develop an A-team of leaders, own the area's PnL and drive growth, forecasting demand, labor, and inventory while building a culture of accountability and hospitality.

You’ll report to the Director of Operations and work with the Field Leadership team to scale future leaders and deliver exceptional customer experiences across stores.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business.
• Experience leading multiple locations (3-10) and developing the managers who run them.
• Passionate about hospitality: creating exceptional customer and employee experiences.
• Commercial thinker with strong operational and financial judgment (read P&L, KPI dashboards).
• People leader who hires, coaches and leads through change.
• Strategic planner who turns priorities into actionable plans for GMs.

Responsibilities

• Be Our Ultimate Hospitality Leader: develop systems and processes to maintain high hospitality standards.
• Hold the bar: monitor standards across area with store visits and data.
• Increase store performance by turning around underperforming stores and launching new ones.
• Plan for demand: translate quarterly HQ forecasts to store-level plans.
• Build the labor plan: set headcount targets and rota strategies.
• Calibrate inventory to forecast demand and avoid stock issues.
• Develop your GMs and grow future leaders through training and feedback.
• Own the talent pipeline: hiring and promotion decisions and succession targets.
• Operate strategically: master KPIs and PnL, set weekly/quarterly priorities.
• Roll out initiatives across area with clear comms and training.
