Job summary

Country Court is seeking an Area Minibus Driver for cover across our Brighton-area Homes. You’ll plan routes, ensure resident safety and comfort, and cover occasional extra days as needed.

Applicants must hold a FULL UK Driving Licence with at least 2 years’ experience and be over 25 for insurance purposes. We offer great benefits, training, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• FULL UK Driving Licence for 2+ years with D1 category.
• Over 25 years of age for insurance considerations.
• Experience in passenger transport or care settings is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents between Homes and local destinations safely.
• Keep the minibus clean and well-maintained and report issues.
• Manage a fair rota across multiple Homes and coordinate cover as needed.
• Provide a friendly, supportive transport service to residents.

Area Minibus Driver Required - Covering our Homes in Walberton Place Care Home, Link House Care & Nursing Home, Lyle House Care Home and Birkin Lodge Care & Nursing Home

ABOUT THE MINIBUS DRIVER ROLE

Our minibus drivers will have several local Homes to drive for, planning effectively with each Home to maximise its use in a fair and agreeable rota, helping our Residents move to and from their destination with ease. The vehicle will be based at one of the homes. You may also be needed to cover other days of the week on occasions.

• Provide excellent customer service to our residents.
• Make sure our residents are safe and comfortable on the journeys.
• Responsible for the upkeep & maintenance of the Minibus & reporting any issues
• Keep the minibus clean & tidy and to a high standard.

• Have a friendly & caring attitude
• Able to engage well with the residents and their families
• Have a genuine enthusiasm for driving
• Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
• Experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential
• For insurance reasons, our drivers must be over 25 years of age and have a FULL UK Driving License for 2 years or more and this must include category D1, with no serious driving convictions
