Job summary

Renaissance Care at Benvie Care Home is seeking an experienced Minibus Driver for 10 hours per week to transport residents safely to appointments and activities. You will be responsible for maintaining the minibus, ensuring documentation is up-to-date, and coordinating with the central support office.

We prefer candidates with a D1 licence and a clean driving record. The role emphasizes respectful, professional interaction with residents and safe boarding and alighting procedures.

Qualifications

• Clean driving licence and eligibility to drive a minibus.
• Minimum 8 years driving experience.
• Ability to transfer residents to appointments and assist on/off minibus safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to appointments and activities in a safe, courteous manner.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and regular checks of documentation.
• Coordinate with central support to ensure smooth transport operations.

Job description

We are seeking talented, passionate and caring individuals looking to begin or continue their career within the care industry, making a difference to the lives of our residents at Renaissance Care.

We are seeking an experienced Minibus Driver for 10 hours per week to at Benvie Care Home. 2 x 5 hours.

Hours of work: 10 (2 x 5 hours)

To meet our company insurance requirements, you should have a minimum of 8 years of driving experience, with a preference for candidates who hold a D1 Driving Licence. As part of your role, you will be responsible for ensuring the vehicle’s documentation is up-to-date, coordinating with the central support office as necessary.

When transporting residents, you will drive in a safe, responsible manner at all times. You will interact with residents professionally, responding to their needs with courtesy and respect.

As the designated driver, you will also take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the minibus. The safety of the residents is a top priority, and you will collaborate with the Wellbeing Lead to assist residents on and off the minibus securely and ensure they are properly strapped in throughout the journey.

Requirements

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion . To be successful in this role you will have a clean driving license, that allows you to drive a mini bus. You will be prepared to available during working hours, to transfer residents to hospital, dental appointments etc.
