Job summary

Country Court Care is seeking an Area Minibus Driver to cover our Homes in the Tunbridge Wells area. You will help residents move safely to and from activities, appointments, and social events, with the vehicle based at a home and potential cover at other sites.

You should be over 25, hold a FULL UK Driving Licence (2+ years) with category D1, and value patient, friendly service for an aged care community offering excellent benefits, support, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Have a friendly & caring attitude.
• Able to engage well with the residents and their families.
• Have a genuine enthusiasm for driving.
• Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
• Experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential.
• For insurance reasons, our drivers must be over 25 years of age and have a FULL UK Driving Licence for 2 years or more and this must include category D1, with no serious driving convictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to our residents.
• Make sure our residents are safe and comfortable on the journeys.
• Responsible for the upkeep & maintenance of the Minibus & reporting any issues
• Keep the minibus clean & tidy and to a high standard.

Area Minibus Driver Required - Covering our Homes in Walberton Place Care Home, Link House Care & Nursing Home, Lyle House Care Home and Birkin Lodge Care & Nursing Home

ABOUT THE MINIBUS DRIVER ROLE

Our minibus drivers will have several local Homes to drive for, planning effectively with each Home to maximise its use in a fair and agreeable rota, helping our Residents move to and from their destination with ease. The vehicle will be based at one of the homes. You may also be needed to cover other days of the week on occasions.
