Job summary

New Chapter Tuition Ltd in the South Region is seeking an Area Manager to oversee 7-10 Alternative Provision sites. This permanent, full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality educational delivery, safeguarding and operational excellence across multiple sites.

You will travel regionally, lead teams, develop policies, and build strong relationships with schools and authorities to improve learner outcomes.

Area Manager - Alternative Provision

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting exclusively on behalf of a large and rapidly growing specialist Alternative Provision for an experienced Area Manager to oversee approximately 7-10 sites across the South Region.

The client is looking for a forward-thinking, proactive and hands-on leader who can anticipate challenges rather than simply react to them. This is a visible operational role, working directly with teams while also improving policies, procedures and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support teams across 7-10 Alternative Provision sites.
• Drive standards across educational delivery, safeguarding and operations.
• Conduct lesson observations and monitor learner outcomes.
• Support staff performance, development and accountability.
• Develop and embed effective policies, procedures and systems.
• Build strong relationships with schools, Local Authorities, families and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage your own diary, travel and changing operational priorities.

Previous education experience is essential, including educational delivery and working with schools, Local Authorities and/or education professionals. QTS is not required, and management experience may come from education or another fast-paced sector.

You’ll need excellent leadership, communication and time-management skills, with the confidence to take ownership and balance strategic improvements with day-to-day operational leadership.

This position is fully on-site with regular regional travel. Driving between sites forms part of working hours; however, flexibility is required, including occasional work outside standard hours and overnight stays where necessary.

A full UK driving licence is essential. No sponsorship available
