Job summary

Educato Recruitment are partnering with a growing Alternative Provision in Rochdale to appoint an experienced AP Lead on a long-term basis. You will lead day-to-day provision, develop personalised learning and provide strong leadership to staff.

The role requires QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification, with emphasis on SEND/SEMH experience. It is a 12-week temp-to-perm path with a clear progression into a permanent role and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working within Alternative Provision, SEND or SEMH.
• Previous leadership or management experience within an education setting.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, resilient and consistent approach.
• Experience supporting pupils with barriers to mainstream education.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• The ability to lead, motivate and support other members of staff.

Educato Recruitment are working with a growing Alternative Provision in Rochdale who are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate AP Lead to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or education professional with a strong background in SEND, SEMH or Alternative Provision who is looking for a role where they can have a genuine impact on the lives and education of young people.

As AP Lead, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and development of the provision, supporting pupils who may have struggled to engage successfully within mainstream education.

This is initially offered on a long-term agency basis, with the opportunity to move onto a permanent contract through our 12-week temp-to-perm agreement.
