Job summary

All Departments is seeking an Area Manager who will be field-based, travelling between site locations in and around the West Thurrock area to support cleaning teams and maintain high standards across sites.

You will resolve site issues, provide hands-on cleaning support, and ensure compliance with safety procedures, while collaborating with Regional and Area Managers to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or contract cleaning.
• Proactive with an excellent eye for detail.
• Self-motivated, flexible with travel to multiple sites.
• Must hold a Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Attend sites to resolve cleaning issues and bring sites up to the required standard.
• Provide hands-on cleaning support including hoovering floors and sanitising surfaces.
• Ensure the required standard of cleaning is delivered in line with agreed specifications.
• Support cleaning teams and maintain high standards across allocated sites.
• Follow health & safety legislation and company procedures at all times.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from the Management Team.
• Escalate any concerns to the relevant Manager.
• Complete stock checks and order supplies.
• Work with colleagues, Regional Managers and Area Managers.
• Support training and induction of new cleaners.
• Carry out regular site visits and checks to ensure standards are maintained.
• Provide additional support to sites and cleaning teams where required.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within facilities management or contract cleaning.

• Providing hands-on cleaning support where required, including hoovering floors and cleaning and sanitising surfaces
• Ensuring that the required standard of cleaning is consistently delivered in line with agreed specifications
• Supporting cleaning teams and helping to maintain high standards across allocated sites
• Ensuring health & safety legislation and company procedures are followed at all times
• Responding to ad hoc requests from the Management Team
• Escalating any concerns or site-level intelligence to the relevant Manager
• Completing stock checks and following the agreed process for ordering supplies
• Working effectively with colleagues, Regional Managers and Area Managers
• Supporting with the training and induction of new cleaners
• Carrying out regular site visits and checks to ensure standards are maintained
• Providing additional support to sites and cleaning teams where required
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within facilities management or contract cleaning
• A proactive approach with an excellent eye for detail
• Methodical, organised and able to manage your time effectively
• Self-motivated, confident and approachable, with a 'can do' and flexible attitude to work requirements
• Excellent client focus and a proven track record of service delivery
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, mobile role across multiple locations
• A team player who is able to support and motivate others
• Full UK driving licence
