Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Experienced Area Cleaning Supervisor to deliver high standards of service while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

The role is part-time (30 hours/week) with a 15:00-21:30 shift, based at GPA, Stephenson Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, England B2 4BH. The supervisor will manage a team across multiple sites, coordinate rosters, ensure health & safety procedures are followed, and support staff development.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory and cleaning experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional attitude.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow schedules and lead a team effectively.
• Self-driven, open, and committed to continuous improvement.
• IT literacy as will be working off phone and on company portals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cleaning team across multiple sites, including recruitment and staff development.
• Deliver routine planned and periodic cleaning to a high standard. Include compiling rosters, scheduling, covering shifts and related tasks.
• Provide technical training and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed. Include risk assessments, COSHH and related documents.
• Monitor cleanliness standards, distribute uniforms, and manage stock levels. Include audits and staff support where required.
• Address issues professionally and elevate to line manager when necessary. Include RTW, 1 to 1s and associated tasks.
• Available to work on additional sites where required.
