Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor for a part-time, evening role in Birmingham. The position is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00pm–9:00pm, located at Ernst & Young, Colmore Square, Birmingham. You will supervise cleaning operatives and ensure service standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory Cleaning experience, strong organisation, and good communication skills. Health & safety and COSHH knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within the cleaning industry.
• Organised, reliable and able to lead a team effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Capable of working independently and managing priorities.
• Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations.
• Confident using mobile devices and company systems to complete audits and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting cleaning operatives on site.
• Ensuring cleaning tasks are completed to the required Mitie and client standards.
• Carrying out regular site audits and quality checks.
• Managing staff attendance, holidays, and absence reporting.
• Delivering training, toolbox talks, and on-site coaching where required.
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and arranging stock orders.
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures, COSHH requirements, and company policies are followed.
• Maintaining positive relationships with clients and responding to any service issues promptly.
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new starters.
• Completing administrative duties such as timesheets, audits, and compliance records.

IIn order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role.
