Job summary

Helping Hands in Maidstone is seeking an Area Care Manager to lead care operations across around 10 branches and a Live-in Care service. You will support the Head of Operations, ensure teams are supported, and uphold the extraordinary care we’re known for.

This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive package including £55,000–£80,500 per year, a £5,500 car allowance and up to £15,000 bonus potential, plus 25 days leave and Blue Light discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple branches in the care sector.
• Strong knowledge of CQC and CIW quality frameworks.
• Ability to influence, support change and manage large teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead with warmth and clarity, building relationships and upholding Helping Hands values.
• Coach Branch Care Managers to drive quality and growth.
• Oversee performance across branches and Live‑in services, with reporting.
• Maintain exceptional customer experience and strengthen retention.
• Audit compliance across your area and drive improvements.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Operations with progress insights.

As an Area Care Manager, you'll play a key role in leading exceptional care across your region. Supporting the Head of Operations, you'll guide around 10 branches and a local Live-in Care service, ensuring teams feel supported, operations run smoothly, and customers receive the extraordinary care we're known for.

• Coach and develop your Branch Care Managers, aligning quality and growth to drive success.
• Oversee performance across your branches and Live-in services – monitoring, reporting and driving improvements with confidence.
• Make sure customer experience stays exceptional, raising service standards and strengthening retention.
• Audit and maintain full compliance across your area, acting quickly and collaboratively where improvements are needed.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Operations, sharing progress, insights and opportunities for growth.
