Job summary

DATS Recruitment is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join a client based in Manchester, London or Warwick on a 6-month contract with potential extension. Hybrid role: 1 day in the office, the rest from home, working across regulated sectors such as Power, Defence, Nuclear and Life Sciences.

Inside IR35; umbrella or PAYE available. Must have 5+ years Revit experience, BIM Level 2 knowledge and NBS Chorus. UK work eligibility and ability to obtain SC clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as Architectural Technologist or similar.
• Proficient in Revit with ability to deliver architectural packages.
• Strong understanding of BIM Level 2 and information management.
• Experience on regulated sectors (Power, Defence, Nuclear or Life Sciences).

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop high-quality drawings, models and technical documentation using Revit.
• Support delivery of architectural packages across medium to large project teams.
• Interpret briefs to meet client, project and regulatory requirements.
• Apply BIM Level 2 principles and information management to project delivery.
• Contribute to technically complex projects in highly regulated sectors.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our client based in either Manchester, London or Warwick - working on a 6 month contract basis with the possibility for further extension. This is to work across a range of technically challenging and highly regulated sectors, including Power, Defence, Nuclear and Life Sciences.

This will be a hybrid working role, based in the office 1 days per week and the rest from home. This is also an inside IR35 role so candidates will not be able to use a Limited Company. Umbrella or our agency PAYE will be possible and we believe a gross umbrella figure around £28–£34 p/h will be available – based on level of experience and suitability. Candidates will require existing eligibility to work in the UK as no sponsorship is available and they must be able to obtain basic (SC) level security clearance. They must possess prior experience working on projects in highly regulated sectors, such as Nuclear, Defence, Life Sciences and Power – and they must also be highly proficient on REVIT software (5 years’ experience).

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will support the delivery of architectural work across highly regulated project environments.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Producing and developing high-quality architectural drawings, models and technical documentation using Revit.
• Supporting the delivery of architectural packages across medium to large project teams.
• Interpreting project briefs and delivering outputs that meet client, project and regulatory requirements.
• Applying BIM Level 2 principles and good information management practice to project delivery.
• Supporting the production of specifications, including work involving NBS Chorus.
• Contributing to technically complex projects in highly regulated sectors such as Nuclear, Defence, Life Sciences and Power.
• Working with a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail.

You’ll Have

• Experience in an Architectural Technologist role
• A high level of proficiency in Revit.
• A strong understanding of BIM Level 2.
• Experience delivering architectural packages with limited supervision.
• Experience working on projects within highly regulated sectors such as Nuclear, Defence, Life Sciences or Power.
• Experience with NBS Chorus specifications.
• The ability to work independently and deliver against a brief.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• The ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and multiple office locations
