Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking an Architectural Technologist in Stockport to support the delivery of projects from planning through to construction. You will produce and coordinate technical information using Revit, develop detailed drawings, and collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors and clients within a supportive team.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a UK practice, strong knowledge of Building Regulations, and experience across Residential, Education, Commercial

Qualifications

• 2+ years of UK architectural practice experience.
• Good working knowledge of Revit with experience producing technical information.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction technology.
• Good knowledge of construction detailing and technical drawing production.
• Experience supporting projects from planning through technical delivery/construction.
• Architectural Technology qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Sector experience welcomed: Residential, Education, Commercial, Healthcare or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical delivery of projects from planning through to completion.
• Produce, develop and coordinate detailed project information using Revit.
• Prepare technical drawing packages, including general arrangement drawings and construction details.
• Coordinate information between architects, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Contribute to preparation and management of NBS specifications.
• Attend design team and site meetings as required.
• Develop technical solutions in line with Building Regulations and standards.
• Support successful delivery of projects through to construction and completion.

Our client, a well-established RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based in Stockport, is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. With a strong and increasing project pipeline, they are looking for an technically capable individual who can contribute to the delivery of projects across a varied range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist looking to develop their technical expertise within an established and collaborative practice. You will be involved in producing and coordinating technical information, developing detailed drawing packages and supporting projects through to construction, working closely with architects, consultants, contractors and clients. The practice operates within a Revit-led environment and is looking for someone with good technical knowledge, strong construction detailing skills and an understanding of project delivery. Current work includes Residential, Education, Commercial and University projects, although sector experience is flexible and candidates from other backgrounds will also be considered. The role offers a strong work/life balance, flexible working and the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working alongside experienced members of the team.

Architectural Technologist Overview

• Assist with the technical delivery of projects from planning through to completion.
• Produce, develop and coordinate detailed project information using Revit.
• Prepare technical drawing packages, including General Arrangement drawings and construction details.
• Assist with the coordination of information between architects, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Contribute to the preparation and management of NBS specifications.
• Assist with resolving technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend design team meetings, client meetings and site visits where required.
• Develop technical solutions in line with Building Regulations and relevant construction standards.
• Support the successful delivery of projects through to construction and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the wider architectural team and contribute to the development of technical knowledge within the practice.

Architectural Technologist Requirements

• 2+ years' experience within a UK Architectural Practice.
• Good working knowledge of Revit, with experience producing technical information.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction technology.
• Good knowledge of construction detailing and technical drawing production.
• Experience working on projects through planning and into technical delivery/construction.
• Confident working with Architects, consultants and other members of the design team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to contribute to client and contractor discussions.
• Architectural Technology qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Sector experience is flexible; Residential, Education, Commercial, Healthcare or similar experience would be welcomed.
• Proactive, organised and keen to develop within a supportive and collaborative practice.
