Qualifications

• Significant experience as Architectural Technologist within the UK.
• Strong residential project delivery experience including volume housing/ regeneration would be advantageous.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and leading technical delivery.

Responsibilities

Senior Architectural Technologist - Greater Manchester - Hybrid role

We are working with an established architectural practice based in Greater Manchester, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing team.

We are looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist who is technically strong, commercially aware and confident taking ownership of projects.

You will be comfortable working directly with clients, contractors and consultants, coordinating technical teams and providing practical solutions to complex construction and design challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused professional with strong residential experience to take a senior role delivering a varied portfolio of projects across volume housebuilding, private residential, affordable housing and regeneration.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, strong Revit skills and the ability to lead projects, coordinate consultants and work confidently with clients and contractors.

As Senior Architectural Technologist, you will:

• Lead the technical delivery of residential and regeneration projects from planning through to construction.
• Produce and manage detailed technical drawing and construction information.
• Develop coordinated design solutions that meet planning, Building Regulations and construction requirements.
• Coordinate architectural information with structural, M&E and other specialist consultants.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage project deliverables, programmes and technical workloads.
• Support and mentor junior members of the technical team.
• Attend design and coordination meetings and provide technical expertise throughout projects.
• Contribute to the practice's BIM standards and digital delivery processes.

Technical Requirements

• Significant experience working as an Architectural Technologist within the UK.
• Strong experience delivering residential projects, ideally including volume housebuilding, affordable housing or large-scale developments.
• Experience of regeneration and mixed-tenure residential schemes would be advantageous.
• Strong Revit skills and experience working within a BIM environment.
• Excellent knowledge of UK construction methods, materials and technical detailing.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations, planning requirements and statutory compliance.
• Experience producing detailed technical and construction information.
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing, specification and buildability.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ability to work effectively through planning, technical design and construction stages.
• Good understanding of current industry standards and legislation, including CDM and the Building Safety Act.

Professional Qualifications

• CIAT qualification / Chartered Architectural Technologist status would be highly desirable, although candidates with strong technical experience and a clear commitment to professional development will also be considered
