Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is Part-Time.

Responsibilities:

1. Partnerships teams are located in regional offices and are responsible for delivering discretionary services for local partners.
2. The chief duty of Partnerships teams is to advocate for the care, conservation, and creative reuse of heritage assets to improve quality of life.
3. The work involves ongoing projects requiring a diverse set of skills, including advocacy, engagement, research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and conservation.
4. As a key member, architects and surveyors advise partners on proposals for heritage asset repair and alteration, guiding changes in historic townscapes and landscapes.
5. Requirements include a professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA level, or RICS), or working towards these.
6. Extensive experience in building repair and project management is necessary.
7. Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
8. Strong understanding of building construction, repair methods, and adaptation techniques.
9. Ability to approach repair challenges practically and creatively.
10. Knowledge of current construction industry regulations.
