Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is Part-Time.

Responsibilities:

1. Partnerships teams are located in regional offices and are responsible for delivering discretionary services with local partners to improve quality of life through heritage conservation, creative reuse, and advocacy.
2. The teams work on projects over months or years, bringing diverse professional skills to find creative solutions for heritage and community benefits.
3. As a key member, architects and surveyors advise on proposals for repair and alteration of heritage assets, guiding changes in historic townscapes and landscapes.
4. Qualifications include a professional architecture or building surveying qualification, current ARB registration or RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA, or RICS), or working towards these.
5. Extensive experience in building repair and project management is required.
6. Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
7. Excellent understanding of building construction, repair methods, and adaptation techniques.
8. Ability to approach repair challenges practically and creatively.
9. Awareness of current construction industry regulations.
