Job Opportunity: Architect Surveyor

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is Part-Time.

Responsibilities:

1. Partnership teams are responsible for delivering discretionary services with local partners, focusing on advocacy for care, conservation, and creative reuse to enhance quality of life.
2. The teams work on projects that may span months or years, requiring a diverse set of skills including advocacy, engagement, research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and repair and conservation.
3. As key members, architects and surveyors advise on the repair and alteration of heritage assets and guide changes in historic townscapes and landscapes, directly impacting conservation and community well-being.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or chartered RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA (SCA level), or RICS), or working towards these.
• Extensive experience in building repair and project management.
• Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
• Excellent understanding of building construction, repair, alteration, and adaptation methods.
• Practical and creative approach to repair problems.
• Knowledge of current construction industry regulations.
