Job Description:

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is part-time.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver discretionary services for local partners, advocating for care, conservation, and creative reuse of heritage assets to improve quality of life.
• Work within projects over months or years, bringing skills from various professional backgrounds to find creative solutions in heritage conservation and community engagement.
• Advise partners on repair and alteration proposals for heritage assets, providing guidance on changes in historic townscapes and landscapes.
• Possess professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, with current ARB registration or RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA level, or RICS) or working towards these.
• Have extensive experience in building repair and project management.
• Have good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
• Be knowledgeable about building construction, repair, alteration, and adaptation methods.
• Approach repair problems practically and creatively.
• Understand current construction industry regulations.
