Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent, Part-Time position with a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata).
Responsibilities:
- Regional Partnerships Teams: Responsible for delivering discretionary services in collaboration with local partners, focusing on advocacy for care, conservation, and creative reuse to enhance quality of life.
- Project Work: Engage in projects over months or years, utilizing diverse professional skills including advocacy, engagement, research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and conservation.
- Technical Advisory: Use expert technical skills to advise partners on repairs and alterations of heritage assets, guiding changes within historic townscapes and landscapes.
- Qualifications: Professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA level, or RICS), or working towards these.
- Experience: Extensive experience in building repair and project management.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods, building construction, current practices, and methods for repair, alteration, and adaptation of heritage structures.
- Skills: Practical and creative approach to repair problems, awareness of current construction industry regulations.
