What is the role?

An opportunity has arisen in our Leicester office within our busy mixed-use sector team. The role can be filled by someone who is an Architect or Architectural Technologist/Technician.

What does the role entail?

The role would be ideally suited to a person who enjoys autonomy and has good experience in the core skills required to:

  • Manage and potentially lead several projects at various stages of development and construction.
  • Liaise with clients during project feasibility stages.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications.
  • Possess good technical knowledge of building regulations to address site queries and produce details.
  • Understand production information requirements for Design & Build procurement.
  • Visit sites for Design Team Meetings, snagging, and client/contractor meetings.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience leading projects in the commercial sector.
  • A proven track record of accountability and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
  • An assertive and helpful attitude.
  • Experience working on fast-paced commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction and technical detailing to produce clear drawings.
  • Proficiency in Revit, with previous project delivery experience using the software.

Additional advantageous skills:

  • Self-motivation and independence, with willingness to support team members when needed.
  • Receptiveness to constructive feedback for professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to interpret and act on briefs effectively.
