Job summary

The Kingsbrook School is seeking an Inclusion Unit Administrator to support pupils with SEMH needs in the ARC. You will work closely with the SENCO, ARC staff, and families to ensure a safe, calm, therapeutic and educational provision.

Role involves leading personalised interventions and line-managing ARC staff, with collaboration across teachers and external agencies to secure outstanding inclusive support.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEMH, Positive Behaviour Support, trauma and/or attachment-informed approaches.
• Strong presence and excellent behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to student progress and ability to inspire students to overcome barriers.

Job description

We are looking to appoint an Inclusion Unit Administrator to work closely with the SENCO, assistant SENCO (ARC), specialist teaching staff, intervention leads and assistant teachers to oversee the day-to-day management of the provision. You will have a high level of personal drive and energy to be able to contribute to improving standards for students in the school. This includes leading and delivering personalised interventions (e.g. Thrive, sensory circuits, Lego therapy) to support the specific SEMH needs of each student, ensuring the unit is a safe, calm, therapeutic and educational provision. The role involves line-managing the Inclusion Unit intervention leads and assistant teachers and communicating and working collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, families, and external agencies to ensure outstanding, inclusive support for young people who struggle in mainstream settings.

The right candidate must have a strong presence as well as excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build rapport and relationships with vulnerable children. You will have experience in SEMH, Positive Behaviour Support, trauma and/or attachment informed approaches. You must be committed to student progress and be able to inspire those individuals to overcome barriers to their learning.

At The Kingsbrook School we are recruiting for an Administrator for the Inclusion Unit (The ARC) to join our team.

The post is based at the Inclusion Unit (The ARC) at The Kingsbrook School, which is a specialist Inclusion Unit catering for young people with Education Health Care Plans and who have SEMH as their primary need. There are 25 students currently placed in The ARC in years 7-10, a further 7 will be placed next academic year until the provision reaches its maximum capacity of 32., Insignis Academy Trust operates rigorous 'safer recruitment' practices, and the successful candidates will be required to undertake the completion of satisfactory checks including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, medical report, confirmation of qualifications, documentation to prove Right to Work in the UK and a prohibition from teaching check.
