We are seeking an experienced and proactive Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team based at our Bognor Regis campus. This role plays a key part in supporting the successful delivery of the University's apprenticeship strategy by providing high-quality administrative support throughout the apprentice lifecycle. The postholder will be responsible for coordinating the onboarding and ongoing administration of degree apprenticeships, ensuring that applications are processed efficiently, eligibility criteria are met, and all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
You will maintain apprentice and employer records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance, and support the administration of changes throughout the apprenticeship journey, including breaks in learning, withdrawals, programme transfers and registration amendments.
A significant aspect of the role involves developing and maintaining positive working relationships with apprentices, employers and internal colleagues. Acting as a key point of contact, you will provide a professional, responsive and customer-focused service, manage enquiries and offer guidance on administrative processes.
The role will also support employer engagement activities and contribute to the University's compliance with apprenticeship funding regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies and procedures. Through effective record management and attention to detail, you will help ensure that apprenticeship provision is delivered to a consistently high standard.
You will have a good general education, with a high standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to build relationships and respect confidentiality with both students and employees. You will need to be approachable, adaptable and conscientious with a strong student focus. Previous administrative experience is essential, ideally with an understanding of the apprenticeship environment, as is the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage and prioritise workload. Experience of management of shared inboxes and workloads and/or apprenticeship administration would be an advantage.
