Job summary

DARLINGTON COLLEGE is seeking an Apprenticeship Coach to support, coach and assess apprentices working towards achieving an apprenticeship standard, ensuring they meet occupational standards and progress to gateway and End Point Assessment.

You will manage a pro rata caseload of approximately 30-45 apprentices, develop initial training plans with the apprentice and employer, and carry out regular workplace reviews with detailed records of progress, safeguarding, and H&S.

Responsibilities

• Coaching apprentices with a pro rata caseload of 30-45; provide guidance and assessment.
• Develop high quality initial training plans with the apprentice and employer; co-design delivery.
• Carry out regular workplace reviews, track progress, and document safeguarding and H&S matters.
• Sign off gateways and prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment; liaise with programme leaders and employers.
• Maintain central records, support continuous improvement, and contribute to IQA/EQA activities as required.
