Job summary

Greene King's Wateringbury venue, part of the Chef and Brewer collection, is seeking an Apprentice Team Leader. This role focuses on motivating front-of-house teams while delivering a 5★ customer experience across great food, drinks, and community events.

Training is work-based with mentor support and LifeTime Training Group Limited as the provider. You will gain a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor apprenticeship, work shift patterns, and onboarding that blends on-site and remote coaching.

Qualifications

• Team working and organisational skills are required.
• No formal qualifications are required for this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience during every visit.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve issues in their absence.
• Coordinate the team during busy shifts to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure the bar area is safe, legal, clean and issues are resolved swiftly.

As an Apprentice Team Leader with Chef and Brewer, your motivational skills and passion for customer care make you the perfect person to lead our front of house teams. You'll ensure that each team member knows their stuff and can wow customers with a 5* experience. And it doesn't stop with food and drink! As an Apprentice Team Leader you will...

• Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.
• Help organise and coordinate the team during a busy shift, making sure everything runs like clockwork.
• Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.

What your apprenticeship includes:

• You won't need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
• Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalents)
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
