Job summary

Group 1 Automotive Ipswich is recruiting an Apprentice Sales Executive to learn the craft of automotive retail while earning a wage and gaining a nationally recognised qualification. You will be mentored by experienced professionals and participate in hands-on training across our BMW Ipswich dealership.

You will develop skills in greeting customers, product knowledge, and sales support, with duties spanning customer enquiries, appointments, vehicle handovers, and aftercare.

Qualifications

• Bright, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy helping customers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person and over the phone
• Genuine interest in the automotive industry and customer service
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships
• Motivation to achieve goals and meet deadlines
• GCSEs Maths and English desirable
• Full UK driving licence beneficial but not essential at start of apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and support them throughout their vehicle purchasing journey
• Learn about products, services and manufacturer standards
• Assist with customer enquiries, appointments and follow-up communications
• Support the Sales Team with vehicle presentations, handovers and administration tasks
• Use CRM to maintain accurate records and update customer information
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and services
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences that drive loyalty and referrals
• Attend apprenticeship training sessions and complete course requirements alongside role
