Job summary

Group 1 Automotive in Brighton is offering an Apprentice Vehicle Technician role at BMW Brighton. You will service vehicles, learn under brand guidelines, and gain new qualifications while earning from day one.

You'll work with a friendly team, develop skills, complete the apprenticeship with academic progress, and benefit from generous leave, pension, healthcare, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Punctual and timekeeping is essential.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• GCSE Maths, English and Science (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing vehicles and performing checks/maintenance per brand guidelines.
• Identify, repair and replace faulty components and parts.
• Liaise with Service Advisors regarding required repairs or vehicle work.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Learn work bay tidiness and maintain a clean workspace.
• Consider customer impact in all activities with the vehicle and progress academically during the apprenticeship.
• Comply with academic requirements and engage with the apprenticeship provider.

What you’ll do day to day

Servicing our vehicles – you’ll be carrying out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.

• Identifying, repairing and replacing components and parts that are faults.
• Liaising with our Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
• Maintaining repair and service records.
• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
• To always consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle, demonstrating our customer-centric approach.
