We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team and develop a successful career within the construction and civil engineering industry. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a recognised qualification and learning from experienced professionals.
As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in managing project costs, contracts, procurement, and financial reporting across a range of construction projects. You will assist with the preparation of cost information, applications for payment, cash flow monitoring, subcontract management, and commercial reporting. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate project records and supporting change management processes.
Health, safety, and compliance are at the heart of everything we do. You will actively participate in safety initiatives, follow company procedures, and help promote a positive safety culture across all projects.
Working closely with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, you will gain valuable experience in commercial management, contract administration, procurement processes, and stakeholder communication. You will be supported through our development programme and encouraged to continually build your technical and professional knowledge.
You may have some construction-related experience, although this is not essential. An interest in civil engineering and construction is desirable, alongside a willingness to learn and develop new skills. You will be studying towards, or enrolled on, a relevant qualification and have strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word. Good communication, organisation, and attention to detail are essential, as is a proactive and positive approach to work. A CSCS card appropriate to the role is required.
Numerous projects across North Wales but based in Porthmadog (Gwynedd)
