Job summary

Griffiths Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our North Wales project teams. You will be site based to gain hands-on experience and will be supported by a Project Quantity Surveyor within our team to guide you in daily work.

You will also have the opportunity to progress through our Approved Development Scheme. You will join a dynamic, inclusive commercial team and benefit from mentoring and development opportunities while contributing to project performance and financial

Qualifications

  • It is preferred that the candidate holds a Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • The ideal candidate will be a graduate member of a relevant professional body such as CICES or RICS.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and timely submit valuations and receive certificates.
  • Secure payments from customers within contract terms.
  • Record, monitor and review the financial performance of a contract.
  • Manage financial accounts and report to the line manager on project performance.
  • Liaise with the client on project performance.
  • Procure subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts.
  • Assist with pre-contract pricing as required.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our North Wales project teams. You will be site based to provide you with the best opportunity to enhance on the skills. You will be supported by a Project Quantity Surveyor who will guide and support you in your day to day work. You will also be supported to gain professional accreditation through our Approved Development Scheme.

Principal Accountability

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you may have experience of working in the construction industry, particularly on civil engineering projects, although experience is not essential.

Detailed Responsibilities

Other responsibilities for this role, whilst being supported, will include:

  • Preparing and timely submission of valuations and receipt of certificates

Required experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training

It is preferred that the successful candidate are:

  • educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying
  • graduate members of a relevant professional body e.g. CICES, RICS
Desirable experience, qualifications, and training
