Job summary

Queen's University in Belfast is offering an Apprentice IT Technician role within the School of Psychology. You will join an established IT team to support teaching, administration and research computing systems, building skills through on-job training and college-based study.

The programme includes mentoring and the opportunity to gain Level 3 networking qualifications, with progression potential to a full IT Technician role after completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs A*-C (9-4) including Maths and English.
• Demonstrable knowledge of IT software and hardware systems.
• Good oral and written communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support to teaching, research and admin staff.
• Maintain core systems and assist with specialised research technologies.
