Job summary

TKAT is seeking an Apprentice IT Technician based at Debden Park High School in the Essex region, with occasional travel to other TKAT schools. You will assist in maintaining and administering the schools’ computer networks and support end users.

The apprenticeship is Information Communications Technician Level 3, lasting 17-19 months, and requires a full UK driving licence and access to a car for regular travel between regional sites across TKAT’s Essex network.

Qualifications

• Experience administering networks and reviewing system logs.
• Experience with backups and antivirus updates.
• Good verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring the service desk for IT issues and review tickets.
• Follow TKAT policies and compliance standards.
• Support IT strategy through feedback to IT Manager and team.
• Escalate data/cyber security breaches to the Head of IT.
• Collaborate with central IT for Google environment and other IT systems.
• Monitor service desk progress and assist in project changes with external contractors.
• Identify patterns requiring training or system changes.
