Forbes of Kingennie invites applications for an Apprentice Chef to join our kitchen team. This role offers hands‑on training while pursuing a Modern Apprenticeship through Dundee and Angus College, supporting your growth from learning basics to taking on more responsibility in a busy resort kitchen.

No prior chef experience is required; we provide the training and a friendly team to help you develop culinary skills, work flexible shifts, and start your career in hospitality.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients.
• Develop culinary skills including knife work and cooking techniques.
• Work with experienced chefs to deliver high‑quality food for restaurant and events.
• Follow recipes, menus and presentation standards.
• Understand and maintain excellent food hygiene, allergen awareness and kitchen safety standards.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and confidently.
• Work effectively as part of a busy, supportive kitchen team.
• Build your confidence, organisation and time‑management skills.
• As you develop your skills, gradually take on more responsibility within the kitchen.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our kitchen team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen whilst working towards a recognised Modern Apprenticeship qualification through Dundee and Angus College.

What You’ll Be Learning

With the support and guidance of our experienced kitchen team, you'll learn how to:

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients.
• Develop essential culinary skills, including food preparation, knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Work alongside experienced chefs to deliver high‑quality food to our restaurant and events guests.
• Follow recipes, menus and food presentation standards.
• Understand and maintain excellent food hygiene, allergen awareness and kitchen safety standards.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and confidently.
• Work effectively as part of a busy, supportive kitchen team.

As you develop your skills and experience, you'll gradually take on more responsibility within the kitchen.

No previous chef or kitchen experience is required – we'll provide the training and support you need to get started!
