Job summary

Hesleygroup is seeking Apprentice Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities at Copperclay Mews. You will study for NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care with York College, while delivering compassionate care and helping people live more independent lives.

Applicants should have a positive attitude, be 18 or over, and be prepared to upskill in maths and English. Training is provided, with strong support from the team and progression opportunities within the care pathway.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths/English (Grade 4/C) is desirable, however a minimum of Level 1 in maths and English is essential for this apprenticeship with a requirement to upskill to functions skills level 2.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities and intensive specialist support needs.
• Provide opportunities to develop independence, dignity and happiness.
• Help with activities and community engagement outside the home.
• Work with the management team to ensure high-quality support.
