Job summary

Caring @ Home in Swindon offers a Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship. You will gain hands-on experience supporting adults with daily needs while earning, learning and developing essential health and social care skills.

The 13‑month programme includes online training with a dedicated tutor, a 30 hour working week, and a salary of £8.00 per hour. There is potential for full-time employment upon successful completion and completion of DBS checks.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 4–9 (A*–C) desirable
• Experience in care or health settings is a plus
• Enthusiasm for learning and helping others

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, respectful, and person-centred care in homes or supported living.
• Support with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals and hydration.
• Provide medication support where trained and authorised.
• Encourage independence and participation in social activities.
• Observe and report changes in health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and Caring@Home Ltd policies and procedures.

Apprenticeship Overview:

• Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
• Working Week:Monday - Sunday (30 hours per week, shift to be confirmed)
• Hours:30 hours per week
• Duration:13 months
• Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
• Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
• Location:Nexus Business Centre, 6 Darby Close, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2PN

As an Adult Care Apprentice, you will:
