A leading environmental consultancy in the UK is offering an apprenticeship in arboriculture that provides hands-on experience with tree surveys and professional development. Responsibilities include assisting with tree assessments and using industry-specific software for data collection. The role requires good communication skills and offers the chance to gain a fully funded Professional Arboriculturist qualification. This position promises significant career growth in the environmental sector while providing flexibility in work arrangements.
In an apprentice role you will work on exciting, ground‑breaking projects from day one, with support to grow in your chosen discipline as well as training to develop the core skills needed to succeed in a professional organisation. Our early careers programme gives you the chance to connect with others across the region and business who are also starting their career, as well as mentoring, Chartership support and more. Our qualified arboriculturists provide tree surveys, arboricultural advice and act as expert witnesses to support the integration of development around trees to protect the natural environment, ensuring trees are managed to their full potential.
This position offers the opportunity to complete a fully funded, professionally accredited Professional Arboriculturist qualification. The apprenticeship starts in September/October 2026, with attendance at a local college either one day per week or in block placement, earning a Level 4 Certificate in Arboriculture. The Higher Apprenticeship typically takes 2–3 years to complete.
We take pride in delivering projects effectively for clients, often requiring collaboration both in office settings and on site. Flexibility around how, when and where you work is encouraged, with a focus on outputs rather than inputs.
