Bright builds software that helps accountants and businesses in the UK and Ireland work smarter. We seek an Application Technical Support Engineer to bridge Engineering and Customer Success, debugging issues, querying data with SQL, and building internal tooling.

You will work in a fast-paced environment around AI-enabled improvements. The role sits in the Development department in Belfast and involves collaborating with teams to maintain robust customer experiences and reliable software

Qualifications

Two+ years in technical or application support roles.
Strong SQL ability to write and interpret queries.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Right to live and work in the UK.
Interest in AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

Act as primary technical contact for Customer Success; translate between customers and engineering.
Debug, replicate issues and identify root causes; build reports with SQL.
Create and maintain internal tooling (Retool) for workflows.
Support integrations across Vitally, Zapier, and Sentry; improve testing processes.
Explore embedding AI tools to streamline support activities.
