Application Support Analyst – Front Office / Trading Systems

You’ll be joining a global financial services firm, delivering hands-on application support across trading, clearing, and market connectivity platforms. This is a technical and user-facing role where you’ll own issues end-to-end and play a key part in keeping high-impact systems stable, secure, and responsive.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting a wide range of trading and post-trade systems (including trade capture, clearing, and risk apps)
• Providing 2nd/3rd line support for internal and external users
• Managing incidents, system changes, and vendor upgrades
• Writing and maintaining PowerShell or Python scripts for automation
• Running exchange reporting and handling technical onboarding for clients
• Collaborating with development, infrastructure, and business users to maintain platform reliability
• Ensuring documentation and change control follow best practice (ITIL)

What you’ll need:

• Experience in a financial services environment supporting front-to-back trade flows
• Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux/Unix, plus experience with SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Proactive mindset and calm under pressure – this is a fast-paced role with live impact
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python
• Excellent communicator who can document clearly and liaise with clients, dev teams, and exchanges
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, FIX messaging (nice to have), and trading protocols across asset classes
