Job summary

AllPoints Fibre Networks is seeking an Application Specialist to support, maintain, and optimise critical business applications across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will work with IT, Cyber Security, vendors and stakeholders to ensure reliability, security, and alignment with business needs.

In this role you will own the application lifecycle from design to continual improvement, implement updates, monitor performance, and produce service reports in line with ITIL standards.

Qualifications

• Four or more years' experience supporting business-critical applications within complex technology environments.
• Experience with API orchestration and integration design.
• Subject matter expert for Atlassian tools, Jira and Confluence.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and application issues.
• Knowledge of user provisioning, identity management, and SSO/SAML technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support critical business applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to meet requirements.
• Oversee the application lifecycle: design, testing, deployment, optimisation, and maintenance.
• Configure, test, and implement software updates to improve functionality and UX.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen service delivery and application performance.
• Monitor service performance, produce reports, and align with ITIL standards.
• Maintain comprehensive systems and architecture documentation.
• Develop acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are defined for development teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Atlassian Jira and Confluence, guiding workflows and collaboration.
