Job summary

Cathedral Appointments Ltd is seeking an Application Development & Support Analyst for an office-based role in Taunton with hybrid work after probation. You’ll develop and maintain Visualfiles workflows, support case management systems, and produce reports using SQL, Power BI and Excel.

The position also covers daily IT support and assisting with system upgrades. Applicants should have VB development experience and familiarity with workflow scripting, form creation, and database principles.

Qualifications

• Development experience using VB or similar language.
• Experience with workflow scripting and automation in a case management or business system.
• Experience creating and maintaining screens, documents and forms.
• A solid understanding of database principles.
• Ability to create and maintain workflow and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication of technical issues.
• Knowledge of HTML, SQL, Visualfiles or a legal/professional services background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Visualfiles workflows, forms, templates and automation.
• Support and improve the organisation's case management systems and business applications.
• Produce reports using SQL, PowerBI and Excel.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to colleagues across the business.

Our client is a well-established professional services organisation based in Taunton, where the IT department plays a vital role in driving operational efficiency and innovation. They are now looking for a technically minded Application Development & Support Analyst to join their IT team,supportingand developing case management systems while helping to improve business processes through technology.

The Role

This is a primarilyoffice basedrole, with hybrid working available following successful completion of probation, so applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Taunton. Experience withVisualfilesis highly desirable, though candidates who have developed or supported similar workflow or case management systems, and who are keen to learn and grow within a professional services environment, are just as welcome to apply.
