A local education trust in Halesowen is seeking an AP Practitioner to support vulnerable students in achieving positive outcomes. This full-time role involves both academic and pastoral support and requires experience with KS3/4 curricula, strong communication skills, and a commitment to restorative practices. This position is vital in assistive strategies for reintegrating students back into mainstream education. A collaborative approach and understanding of safeguarding issues are imperative.

Contract details: Fixed Term Contract (12 Months) – 39 Weeks per year (Term Time Only)
Hours: 37 Hours per Week
Grade: Grade 6, Scale Point 12-17
FTE Salary: £24,906 - £27,509

Both Greenhill Alternative Learning Campus in Halesowen and Invictus Revive Learning Centre at Leasowes High School aim to support young people in KS3 and 4 who have been unable to achieve in a mainstream setting.
We are seeking an AP Practitioner who will work with all stakeholders to ensure student’s journey in our settings results in good outcomes, improved conduct, whilst preparing them for reintegration into mainstream school. You will be supported by a team of dedicated support staff and leaders in a joint approach to secure the best outcomes for young people.

Working under guidance of the AP Learning Manager the successful candidate will provide both academic and pastoral support to students in alternative provision to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve excellent outcomes both academic and pastoral. A feature of this role will be supporting behaviour systems and reintegration of young people back into a mainstream setting.
