Job summary

University Hospitals Tees is seeking an Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join the Mortuary department. The post holder will work across all Trust sites, supporting coronal and forensic post-mortems and ensuring compassionate, respectful care for the deceased and their families.

Applicants should have the L4 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or be enrolled on the L3 pathway with progression to L4, with an apprentice route available.

Qualifications

• L4 Diploma required for Band 5 and L4 qualification progression.
• L3 Diploma acceptable for Band 4 with progression to L4.
• Apprentice pathway available with band progression requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for autopsy.
• Move patients as required for procedures.
• Assist with family viewings with sensitivity and empathy.
• Work across all trust sites to deliver mortuary services.
