Job summary

Camden Council is looking for an Anatomical Pathology Technician to manage mortuary duties, including admission, identification and safe storage of deceased bodies for postmortem examinations.

You will assist pathologists, support high-risk and forensic cases, and work with the HTA license. The role requires DBS clearance and resilience in handling sensitive information within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technician or equivalent APT qualification.
• Experience in a mortuary setting is essential.
• Knowledge of HTA guidelines and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of mortuary activities including admission, identification and safe storage of deceased bodies for postmortem.
• Assist pathologists with postmortem examinations and support forensic cases when required.
• Work out of hours on forensic cases and collaborate with Coroner's Office.
