Howden Group Services Limited in London offers a paid Analytics Summer Internship. You’ll join Howden Re’s Analytics team for a 10-week programme starting in June 2027, with a salary of £32,500 pro-rata.

No prior insurance experience is required; you’ll be trained and mentored throughout the internship. The role blends data, analytics and real‑world events to build insights for the global reinsurance market.

Qualifications

• No insurance experience is needed; we’ll teach you everything you need to know!
• Be in your penultimate year of a STEM, Economics or Geography degree.
• Have achieved a minimum B grade in A-level Mathematics.
• Be curious about data, research, and commercial analysis.
• Enjoy working with numbers and solving problems.
• Communicate confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Be able to turn complex data and technical information into clear meaningful insights.
• Enjoy building relationships and collaborating with a range of people.
• To be eligible for our programme, you must have the full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to assess risks from real events such as wildfires and earthquakes.
• Produce reports and presentations for internal teams and clients.
• Work with datasets to improve the quality and accuracy of risk analysis.
• Help translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights.
• Collaborate with brokers and analytics specialists on client projects.
