Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is recruiting an Alternative Provision Coordinator Lead to support students at risk of exclusion and those already excluded. You will coordinate targeted interventions and ensure access to high-quality learning through collaboration with teachers, parents and external agencies.

Working 37 hours per week during term-time, you will help develop engaging strategies that promote student engagement, achievement and a secure sense of identity across Years 7 to 11 within

• GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Experience of working with children or young adults in an education setting is desirable.
• Experience liaising with external agencies and professionals on child protection matters would be beneficial.

Job description

The Alternative Provision Coordinator Lead will work closely with students who are at risk of permanent exclusion or have already been permanently excluded. The role focuses on supporting these students to achieve their personal goals by coordinating effective interventions and ensuring access to high-quality learning opportunities working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external support agencies to implement a range of strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.

This is a permanent role working 37 hours a week 39 weeks a year - Term Time Only

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths. Experience of working with children or young adults in an education setting together with experience of liaising with external agencies and professionals on child protection matters would be beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across a range of challenging issues and people including parents/carers, scholars, staff and members of the wider community.
